Xuan Chinh is a hamlet with a large Muong ethnic population. To help local residents have a space for cultural activities, Depot K822 directly designed and constructed a community house as per Muong culture—a two-story stilt structure covering an area of 294 sq.m. and seating 150 people. The over VND-2-billion construction contains a stage, corridors, and stairs. Since the construction was built, local people have had a shared venue for cultural events, helping improve their cultural and spiritual life.

Leaders of the General Department of Logistics-Technical Services, along with local Party committees and authorities, cut the ribbon to inaugurate the community house.

Depot K822 is stationed in a region predominantly inhabited by ethnic groups in Ngoc Lac district, Thanh Hoa province. Colonel Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Depot K822, stated: “The Party Committee of our depot has always viewed mass mobilization as crucial for building a people’s heart posture and reinforcing the great national unity bloc. The depot’s Party Committee has passed a specialized resolution on leading mass mobilization in the new era, outlining specific tasks and responsibilities for each affiliated unit.

Since 2019, the depot has worked closely with local Party committees and authorities to effectively implement many projects, such as providing working days and funding to build 110 sq.m. of concrete yard and donating 48 seats to the cultural house of Giang Son hamlet, Thuy Son commune (Ngoc Lac district); presenting a pair of breeding cows worth over VND 25 million to a poor household in Giang Son hamlet; supporting the Quang Trung Secondary School (in Ngoc Lac district) with ten tons of cement for infrastructure development; and contributing thousands of man-days, as well as construction materials and funds, to help Thach Lap commune’s authority meet certain criteria of new-style rural development.

The depot has also joined local authorities in restructuring crop and livestock production, and in transferring modern science and technology for cultivation and animal husbandry. In addition, the unit’s personnel regularly engage in educating laws for locals, fighting social evils, abolishing backward customs, and eliminating superstitions. These activities have strengthened the bond between the unit and the locality, maintaining a safe nearby area and helping the depot fulfill its assigned tasks.
