Reports delivered at the event affirmed that after 10 years of implementing Resolution 623, the awareness of logistics work of Party committees and chains-of-command at all levels and soldiers has been enhanced, while logistic services have been well implemented with practical results.
Notably, under the direction of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, the military logistics sector has renewed methods to ensure logistic supplies for training and combat readiness missions and well carried out thrift practice and wastefulness control. In addition, the service has comprehensively and effectively conducted the “Military logistics sector follows President Ho Chi Minh’s teaching” emulation movement, contributing to building strong, exemplary, and outstanding logistic units and agencies to meet task requirements in the new period.

At the conference, Chief of the General Department of Logistics Lieutenant General Tran Duy Giang proposed building a new resolution on the military logistics as well as leadership guidelines and methods to raise the effectiveness of the work in the coming time.
General Phan Van Giang praised agencies and units in the whole military for embracing and strictly and effectively carrying out Resolution 623. He emphasized that despite difficulties, Party committees and chains-of-command of agencies and units in the whole military have led and directed their units and agencies to seriously implement the resolution and obtain important results. He evaluated that agencies and units in the whole military have basically completed targets and contents set in Resolution 623, making comprehensive changes in logistic services.
The defense leader also pointed out shortcomings that the military logistics sector needs to address in the coming time. He agreed on the proposal of building a new resolution on the sector in the next period and asked Party committees and chains-of-command at all levels to regularly renew leadership methods and foster information dissemination and education to raise troops’ awareness of the role of logistic services.
He urged agencies and units to strengthen administrative reform and thrift practice and ensure adequate logistic supplies for missions, with priority given to forces carrying out special missions, safeguarding national sovereignty over sea and islands and border areas, ensuring security in key localities, and advancing to modernity.

General Phan Van Giang requested units and agencies to mobilize forces, technologies, and budgets to foster digital transformation in the military logistics sector; well carry out the research, application, and transfer of technologies; upgrade logistic vehicles and equipment; pay attention to human resource training.
At the conference, General Phan Van Giang awarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Resolution 623 over the past ten years.
