Defense minister visits former defense leaders

Inquiring after and wishing them good health, General Lich briefed the former senior officers on the defense and military situation over the past year.

He affirmed that the whole-military’s troops would always follow their predecessors’ examples, promote the good traditions and virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, overcome hardships and fulfill all assigned missions, deserving the trust of the Party, State and people.

For their parts, Generals Tra and Thanh believed that the Vietnam People’s Army would develop strongly and comprehensively, meeting the requirements of the national construction and defense missions in the current context.

On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, General Ngo Xuan Lich wished the former defense leaders good health and great lunar New Year holidays with their families.

He hoped that the two generals will continue contributing to the development of the Vietnam People’s Army in the time to come.
