General Ngo Xuan Lich speaks at the meeting with Binh Phuoc provincial Party and People’s Committees

At the meeting with Binh Phuoc provincial Party and People’s Committees, Nguyen Van Loi, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, briefed the delegation on the local’s implementation of socio-economic and defense-security missions last year.

Specifically, the local authorities, people, and armed forces exerted all-out efforts to achieve dual missions of socio-economic development and COVID-19 prevention and control.

In addition, the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, and People’s Committee directed the local armed forces to seriously and effectively realize the Party’s resolutions, the State’s laws, and directions by the Central Military Commission and MND.

Addressing the event, General Lich congratulated the Binh Phuoc provincial Party Committee, authorities, and people on their achievements and their close coordination with and favorable conditions created for local armed forces and military units stationed in the locality.

He asked the province to embrace the Party and State’s guidelines and policies on military-defense affairs, develop local socio-economy coupling with consolidating all-people’s defense disposition and people’s security posture while maintaining socio-political stability. The province was also asked to pay due attention to building strong local armed forces, and improving synergy and combat strength of the armed forces.

At the working visit to the Army Corps 16 Command, General Lich was briefed on the unit’s socio-economic development and consolidating the military-security position in the locality where the unit is stationed.

Speaking highly of the unit’s good task performance, General Lich asked it to continue to effectively implement its function as an army corps working in both economic and defense spheres, raise its combat strength, and build a comprehensively strong unit.

The army corps was also requested to promote training and combat readiness, tighten the close ties with local people, Party committees at all levels, and authorities, follow closely situational developments and enhance defense diplomacy.
