The Defense Minister was accompanied by Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Ngoc Minh; Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, Major General Le Hien Van; and representatives of defense agencies.
At the meeting, the Defense Minister highly valued and lauded the achievements in every aspect of the unit’s task performance over the past time, and extended best regards, wishing a happy New Year to all officers and soldiers of the units as well as their families.
Regarding the unit’s task implementation in 2017, General Lich asked its troops to continuously promote creativity and innovation; strictly observe military disciplines; foster its tradition; and build it into a comprehensively strong unit.

The Defense Minister stressed that Brigade 205 has excellently accomplished both regular missions and additional assignments, with a focus on ensuring communications for Party and military activities as well as in natural disaster prevention and relief.
According to reports presented by leaders of the unit, Brigade 205 has successfully fulfilled its missions, maintaining constant operation of the communication systems, well serving military combat readiness and major Party, State and Army events; the command networks between the Ministry of National Defense and its agencies and military units; and search and rescue missions.
The unit in association with the National Frequency Committee also set up a videoconferencing network for the Khanh Hoa provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee to deliver Tet greetings to people and troops in Truong Sa (Spratly) island district.

Apart from well implementing tasks, officers and soldiers of the unit also strictly conformed to military disciplines, military order and working regulations.
In celebration of the Lunar New Year, the unit has organized 34 places with various artistic and cultural activities for its troops to welcome the New Year.
