Defense Minister inquires after his predecessor
PANO - General Ngo Xuan Lich, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission and Defense Minister, paid a visit to General Phung Quang Thanh, former Defense Minister, on July 27 on the occasion of the 72nd Vietnamese Wounded Soldiers’ and Martyrs’ Day (July 27).
On behalf of the Central Military Commission, Defense Ministry, and troops in the whole military, General Lich inquired after General Thanh and his family members.
He briefed the former Defense Minister on the outcomes of task implementation of the whole military in the first six months of this year, and the preparations for upcoming Party congresses at all levels in the military.

General Lich wished General Thanh would always be healthy in order to further contribute to the national development and military building.
In turn, General Thanh thanked the sentiment from the Central Military Commission, Defense Ministry, and troops in the whole military for him.
He expressed delight at military units’ achievements over the past time and believed that the military would succeed in implementing all tasks assigned by the Party, State, and people in any circumstances.
