In a solemn atmosphere, General Luong and delegates expressed their respect and gratitude to the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh. A report delivered at the ceremony affirmed that under the leadership of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and Party committees and commands at all level, defense agencies and military units completed their military and defense missions this year.

Particularly, the military accurately evaluated and predicted arising situations and made timely recommendations for the Party and State to issue guidelines and policies to deal with various issues, contributing to firmly safeguarding national sovereignty and integrity and protecting the Party, socialism, and people. Military units strictly maintained combat readiness and cooperated with ministries, central agencies, and localities to build a strong all-people’s defense.
On the occasion, the delegation visited and worked with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command.
At the working session, General Luong praised the remarkable results obtained by the unit this year and emphasized that under the leadership of the Party Committee and Command of Mission 969 (or the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command), the unit has completed all assigned missions given high requirements for its tasks in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Regarding its missions in 2021 and years to come, General Luong asked the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command to embrace and strictly carry out higher levels’ directives and resolutions on preserving President Ho Chi Minh's corpse and foster cooperation with military and civilian units inside and outside the country in carrying out the work.
The Deputy Defense Minister asked all agencies, units, and staff of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command to manage and operate technical equipment safely, effectively, and economically. The unit was requested to cooperate with other forces to ensure security and absolute safety at the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, and K9 historical relic site, especially during the 13th National Party Congress and the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and people’s councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.

He also urged the unit to raise the quality of information dissemination and its services to better serve domestic and international visitors who come to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and fallen soldiers while paying attention to building a politically-,ideologically-,organizationally-,and ethically-strong Party organization and exemplary unit.
