Defense leader inspects border patrol road project
PANO – A delegation of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by its Deputy Chief Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Phuong Nam, inspected the progress of the border patrol road construction project along Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces in the 2017-2020 term on November 17 and 18.
The border patrol road construction project consists of two sub-projects which include upgrading and repairing 41.14km of road in Dak Lak province and 76.12km of road in Dak Nong province.

Having inspected the site and listened to the reports of investors and operators of the project, General Nam highly valued the progress of the construction. He stressed that the investors and operators have overcome hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, harsh weather conditions and tough terrains to implement the project.
He urged the operators to quickly complete the remaining sections of the project, and at the same time asked the project’s management board to closely collaborate with relevant agencies to complete the procedures to hand over the project to local authorities as soon as possible.
