PANO – Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, on February 16th handed over a Ho Chi Minh bust, a gift of the Ministry of National Defence, to the Military Command of Dinh Hoa district.
The bust, designed by sculptor Minh Dinh, is praised as the most outstanding design, which will be produced as gifts for military and civilian units. The busts will be placed at cultural locations.
Addressing the hand-over ceremony, General Phan said that the bust presentation shows the attention of the Party Central Commission, Defence Ministry and General Department of Politics to troops in the whole army in general, and of the command in particular, hoping that the unit’s troops would promote the tradition and fulfil assigned missions.
The same day, the delegation offered incense at that Ho Chi Minh Commemoration House on the De Pass, and visited some historic relics, such as the working places of Generals Vo Nguyen Giap and Nguyen Chi Thanh.
