Thuan Ha commune has a 10km-long border with four main border markers and ten auxiliary markers. It is home to 7 villages with 14 ethnic groups living together. Over the years, the commune’s People's Committee has worked closely with Dak Tien Border Guard Station to conduct information dissemination campaigns and encourage residents, local authorities, and armed forces to comply with Party guidelines and State policies and laws. These efforts aim to enhance public vigilance, discouraging people from believing or spreading false information, especially misleading narratives on social media that could affect territorial sovereignty and national border security.

A notable and innovative approach adopted by the commune is integrating border security education into village meetings and mass mobilization activities. As a result, local people have become increasingly aware of their responsibility in protecting borderlines and markers, actively participating in concrete initiatives.
Additionally, authorities have promoted movements such as the community participating in the Fatherland’s security protection movements, or the whole-people joining hands to build a cultural lifestyle in residential areas.
As of now, 16 collectives, 161 households, and 179 individuals have voluntarily managed over 10km of borderline and 14 border markers. The community has also formed seven village security teams with 45 members, providing valuable information for local authorities and border guards in border security and sovereignty protection efforts.
