Numerous activities held in Da Nang in celebration of Border Festive Day
PANO - From January 19 to 28, 17 coastal wards in Da Nang city jointly held the Whole-People Border Festive Day to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnamese border guard force (March 3, 1959 - 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People Border Festive Day (March 3, 1989 - 2024).
At the event, thousands of gifts were presented to needy fishermen and households facing difficulties.

During the event, participants recalled the history and traditions of the Vietnamese border guard force and the launch of the Whole-People Border Festive Day on March 3, 1959.
In line with the policy of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on June 3, 2020, the Standing Board of the Da Nang Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and the Da Nang municipal Border Guard Command signed Plan No.87 on coordinating the organization of the annual Whole-People Border Festive Day in Da Nang. The Da Nang municipal People's Committee issued Document No.4571 on July 13, 2020, regarding the organization of the annual Whole-People Border Festive Day.

In recent years, the Da Nang municipal Border Guard Command has promoted collaboration with localities to encourage residents to develop socio-economy and actively engage in safeguarding maritime sovereignty and border security in its responsible areas. The activities of the border guard troops have left a positive impression on the local people. Therefore, the Whole-People Border Festive Day has truly become a festival for the residents of coastal wards in Da Nang city.

On this occasion, the local border guard stations and authorities presented thousands of gifts to fishermen's families facing difficulties. The gifts included necessities, life jackets, lifebuoys, and medical kits. These meaningful gifts provided reassurance to the local residents, supporting their economic activities and contributing to stabilizing their lives.
