This facility will receive those who have had close contact with COVID-19 patients and suspected cases of COVID-19 and Vietnamese citizens returning from pandemic-hit areas.

The provincial Military Command also mobilized troops from its affiliates to make thorough preparations of facilities and equipment for the quarantine site. The site can accommodate up to 640 people.

Preparing quarantine facility

Involved forces cleaned up the quarantine facility and sprayed disinfectants around it. Fifty five soldiers, health workers, policemen, and militiamen were also mobilized to provide services for quarantined people at the facility. They were equipped with regulations of receiving people, preventing cross-infection, and conducting patrols. 

Earlier, on January 30, the provincial Military Command held an urgent meeting to work out drastic measures against COVID-19. It requested all of its troops to stay in the barracks and be prepared to take missions on request. It also assigned its health workers and troops to measure body temperatures of those who enter or exit the barracks, disinfect vehicles, and make quarantine sites ready for use.

The command is ready to open more quarantine facilities if the COVID-19 develops complicatedly in hopes that the COVID-19 will be controlled soon and local people’s lives will be safe, especially as lunar New Year is drawing near.
