PANO - The Military Servicewomen Board held a conference on domestic violence and social evils prevention on June 20 in Hanoi, in response to the National Action Month on Domestic Violence Prevention; Action Month for Children and the Vietnam Family Day (June 28).
An art program at the conference
The conference aimed to raise the awareness and responsibility of commanders of military units, troops and servicewomen in preventing and responding to domestic violence and social evils, contributing to building soldiers’ happy families.
Speaking at the conference, Senior Colonel Bui Thi Lan Phuong, Head of the Military Servicewomen Board affirmed that over the past years, servicewomen have worked hard to build their happy families.
The conference provided knowledge and skills to nurture and educate children; care for the elderly and people with disabilities; build families of servicewomen based on five “no’s” and three “clean’s” criteria.
The five “no’s” are: no poverty, no legal violation and social evils, no domestic violence, no third child, and no malnourished children or school drop-outs. The three “clean’s” are: clean house, clean kitchen, and clean streets.
