Coast Guard Commander encourages forces to join upcoming rifle meet
PANO - On August 7, a working delegation, led by Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard Major General Le Quang Dao, checked and encouraged members of its contingent to compete in the whole military rifle meet in 2024.
During the upcoming event, athletes will compete in various contents, including shooting targets hidden in daylight using AK submachine guns, shooting targets in daylight using K54 pistols while maneuvering, shooting at hidden moving targets during daylight, and maneuvering in team and shooting targets with AK submachine guns.

Observing athletes’ performance, Gen. Dao acknowledged and commended the spirit and responsibility of the athletes who have been training diligently, making efforts, and showing determination to excel in their tasks, especially female athletes. The commander of the Vietnamese Coast Guard emphasized that participating in the whole military rifle meet is one of the important political tasks that affirms the quality of training, discipline, and combat readiness of the force. Every officer and soldier selected for the team must be aware of the honor and responsibility to build the highest determination in training and competition.

Additionally, Maj. Gen. Le Quang Dao requested the coaches and athletes to continue training, address weaknesses, exchange experience after each practice session, strictly follow the orders of the commanding officers, maintain good physical health, ensure absolute safety in all aspects, and be fully prepared to compete to the best of their abilities in the upcoming competition.
