The request was made by Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, member of the Party Central Committee, permanent member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Minister of National Defense, during a meeting with the division and the MR’s leaders on March 30.

General Giang also praised achievements recorded by the division in particular and by the MR in general over the past time. Accordingly, the division thoroughly grasped the Ministry of National Defense’s and MR’s instructions on maintaining combat readiness posture and well prepared forces, vehicles, and equipment to deal with any circumstances on time. In addition, the unit’s Party Committee issued resolutions, set targets, and developed measures to raise the quality and efficiency of training missions.

Also at the meeting, General Giang asked the MR to strictly maintain the military discipline, closely catch up with emerging situations of its units and localities in border areas, as well as instruct its units to beautify their barracks.
