General Staff presents gifts to national contributors
PANO – A delegation of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by Major General Ho Thanh Tu, Chief of the Political Department under the General Staff, visited and presented gifts to national contributors in the three provinces of Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, and Quang Tri, as part of activities to mark the 70th Vietnamese Day for Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs.

On this occasion, the delegation offered incense at the Dong Loc Junction monument, General Vo Nguyen Giap’s tomb, the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, the Truong Son National Cemetery for Martyrs, and Road 9 War Cemetery; visited national contributors at the Quang Binh nursing home; presented 30 gifts to national contributors’ families; and VND 280 million to the Quang Tri provincial Military Command to build four gratitude houses for national contributors’ families in Trieu Phong, Vinh Linh and Gio Linh communes.
Since the beginning of the year, the General Staff has conducted various gratitude activities, such as taking care of material and spiritual lives of national contributors, Vietnamese heroic mothers, and war veterans; and building 22 gratitude houses.
