During the event, 150 national flags and 20 scholarships (worth VND 500,000 each) were presented to people and needy students in Drang Phok village, Krong Na commune, Buon Don district. Meanwhile, 10 gifts were also handed over to border guards’ families with difficulties.

According to Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong provincial Youth Union Ndu Ha Bien, this is the second consecutive year that the Lam Dong provincial Youth Union Organization has worked with the Dak Lak provincial Youth Union Organization to organize the program “Border areas in March” for the youths of the two localities, focusing on tradition, patriotism and especially the meaning of borderline, milestones and the role of youth union members in disseminating related information and mobilizing the whole people to protect national sovereignty and national border security of the country.

At the flag-saluting ceremony 

The activities also aimed to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of the border guards’ foundation day (March 3, 1959) and the 91st anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931).

On this occasion, the delegation offered incense in tribute to fallen soldiers at a stele dedicated to fallen soldiers in Se Re Pok Border Post and held a flag-saluting ceremony at Border landmark No.45.
