During the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Duc Sy, Logistics Chief of the Vietnam Border Guard Command, delivered a speech recalling the unit's history.

Over the past 65 years, the logistics sector of the Vietnamese border guard force in general and the Department of Logistics under the Vietnam Border Guard Command in particular have made significant contribution to the management and protection of national sovereignty and border security. Generations of officers and soldiers of the department have consistently demonstrated the heroic traditions of the Vietnamese border guard force, overcoming all challenges with high determination to successfully fulfill their assigned tasks.

Congratulating the officers and soldiers of the Department of Logistics, Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai, Commanding General of the Vietnam Border Guard Command, praised the achievements they have attained. To effectively carry out missions in the coming period, Gen. Thai requested that officers, soldiers, and staff of the Department of Logistics continue to thoroughly implement Resolution No.33-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the national border protection strategy, Resolution No.1658 of the Central Military Commission on the military’s logistics work until 2030 and the following years, pro-actively grasp situations and understand the requirements of missions of border units. He also urged commanding officers of units to give timely advice to the Vietnam Border Guard Command on effectively implementing all logistics supplies-related tasks to meet task requirements in the current situation.

The Chief of the Vietnam Border Guard Command also requested the department to further strengthen inspections and guidance for subordinate units in carrying out logistics supply missions, avoid wastefulness, ensure the efficiency of all logistics facilities, and strengthen the Department of Logistics in terms of politics, ideology, morality, organization, and personnel to contribute to the completion of all assigned missions.
