According to Rector of the school Lieutenant General Do Viet Toan, in 2022 and the first four months of 2023, the school gained important achievements in the scientific research and military history work, the application of information technology, the building of e-government as well as digital transformation in line with reality.
Meanwhile, its troops and staffers’ awareness of the importance of scientific research, military history work, and digital transformation was boosted. The task was implemented comprehensively and effectively, contributing to promoting scientific research and digital transformation in the coming years.

Especially in 2022, the school implemented dozens of initiatives from the grassroots to Ministry of National Defense (MND) levels, in which, 12 initiatives were honored with the Military Creative Youth Awards. It also compiled the Chronicle of Historical Events of the school, a project on Party and political work in the school in the first phase of 2000-2020, to name but a few.
In the first and second quarters of 2023, the school has conducted many other projects and initiatives from the school level to the MND level, and compiled 24 new training materials, among others.
Concluding the inspection, Gen. Vinh affirmed that the scientific research, military history study and digital transformation of the Army Officer Candidate School No.1 in 2022 and the first four months of 2023 were comprehensively implemented, paving the way for fostering activities in this fields in the following years.
The deputy defense minister also requested the school to continue to grasp the resolutions and directives of the Party, Central Military Commission, and MND on science and technology work, in line with its political tasks. It should also raise the quality of the scientific projects, and combine political tasks with emulation movements.

Regarding the military history work, he asked the unit to innovate contents related to military history, organize seminars, and boost information dissemination, contributing to promoting education and training quality of the school in the current context.
Regarding digital transformation, the school should promote leadership so as to apply information technology, build e-government and digital transformation, and consider it as an important task so as to accomplish political tasks of the school.
It was also tasked with beefing up information dissemination via many forms in order to raise troops’ awareness of the application of information technology and digital transformation, while actively carrying out the plan of building e-government towards the Digital Government plan for 2023.
