Reports revealed that in 2021 under the leadership and direction of the service’s Party Committee and Chain-of-Command, air defense and air force units have successfully fulfilled assigned missions.
In particular, they have effectively managed the air space and flight operations; regularly followed the developments in the air and at sea and given timely advice to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to effectively deal with circumstances; safely organized exercises, contests, and maneuvers.
In addition, air defense and air force units have flexibly carried out training and education work in line with the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic while paying attention to realizing resolutions, directives, and regulations of the Ministry of National Defense and the service on regulations building, discipline observation, and building of exemplary and strong units.
Also, logistic and technical work and other missions have been accomplished with positive results, contributing to raising the combat power of the service in the new period.
In the year, the service has also paid attention to augmenting the effectiveness of political education and taken measures to build a politically-, ideologically-, organizationally-, mortally-strong service.
Regarding missions in the coming time, the service’s Party Committee and Chain-of-Command have agreed that in 2022 the force will continue following and forecasting the situation and making recommendations to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to issue guidelines and measures to deal with circumstances and build a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modernized service.
In addition, the service will focus on raising combat readiness capability, the quality of air space management and flight operations, the acquisition of new weapons and materiel, training personnel to meet new task requirements, and raising troops’ ability of mastering new weapons and technical equipment.
