At the meeting, the delegates were informed that in the first six months of this year, the ADAF Service’s Party Committee led, directed, and comprehensively implemented all working aspects with focus laid on the three breakthroughs, and accomplished all set targets.

In particular, the service’s affiliates strictly observed regulations, performed duties, boosted combat readiness posture, closely managed the air and flight operations. They also successfully organized training, conducted flying missions and live-fire field training exercises, and competitions in a safe manner and with flying colors. In addition, the service’s party committee was strong in politics, ideology, organization, morality, and personnel organization.
In the remaining time of the year, the service’s party committee continues to lead its affiliates to embrace and effectively realize resolutions adopted by all-level party committees, well perform its advisory role to the Ministry of National Defense to boost army air defense, people’s air defense, and people’s air force work.
Addressing the meeting, Lt. Gen. Nguyen Trong Binh applauded the service’s party committee for its achievements gained in the first half of this year.
The deputy chief of the General Staff asked it to continue to strictly embrace and implemented higher levels’ resolutions, directives and orders.
The service’s party committee was requested to focus its leadership on improving quality of researching, grasping, and forecasting situations. Moreover, it should give timely and right recommendations on plans to deploy air defense and air force troops for national sovereignty safeguarding missions to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense while maintaining combat duties, monitoring the air space and operating flights to avoid being put in a passive position and missing chances.
It was also urged to lead the training renovation, mastery of newly-equipped materiel, flight training, flight safety, exercises, assurance of technical and logistic supplies for all missions, and implementation of projects on repairing, improving, procuring, and receiving weaponry and technical equipment.
General Binh also asked the service’s party committee to promote emulation activities, and boost dissemination of information to mark the 50th anniversary of the ‘Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the air’ Victory (victory of Vietnamese military and people over Operation Linebacker II of U.S. troops), the 70th founding anniversary of the Anti-aircraft Artillery Force, and the 60th founding anniversary of the service.
