PANO – The municipal Border Guard Command of Da Nang and Vingroup on July 16th donated 500 gifts, worth VND 250 million in total, to 500 needy fishermen households in the city of Da Nang.

The activity reflected Vingroup’s care for the needy fishermen of Da Nang city in response to the “Cleaning the sea” campaign. It also encouraged fishermen to participate in environmental protection via practical and specific deeds.

Gifts presented to fishermen

Of the gifts, 300 were given to fishermen of Thanh Khe and Son Tra districts, where most of the offshore fishing boats of Da Nang are based to ease their difficulties and encourage them to fish offshore while protecting the national sovereignty over seas and islands.

The same day, nearly 200 youth union members of the Da Nang municipal Border Guard Command and its twinned units cleaned the sea areas of ​​Hoa Hiep Bac ward of Lien Chieu district and Thanh Khe Tay ward of Thanh Khe district. Since June 19th 2016, the Da Nang municipal Border Guard Command have mobilized thousands of participating youth union members, officers, soldiers and personnel from twinned units to clean up the sea areas of Son Tra, Ngu Hanh Son, Thanh Khe and Lien Chieu districts.
