Winners of contest on Vietnam-Laos relations history awarded
PANO - The General Department of Politics on January 12 held an awarding ceremony for a contest on the history of Vietnam-Laos special ties at the Military Engineering Command, under the chair of Lieutenant General Le Hien Van, Deputy-Director of the General Department.
The contest drew the participation of officers, soldiers and youths on the whole army. Specially, this year’s completion also attracted many officers of the Laos People's Army who are studying and working at schools under the Vietnam People’s Army.

Speaking at the event, General Van highly appreciated the closely cooperation between the Department of Information and Education and the Military Youth Committee along with military units in the whole army on organizing the contest; and praised troops who participated in the competition. He also asked the units’ chains-of-command at all level in the army to continue to uphold the results of the competition, promote information dissemination on the special ties between Lao and Vietnam; and actively participate in the foreign military activities.
At the ceremony, the organizing panel presented the first prize to Captain Phan Trac Thanh and 10 second, 19 third as well as 26 consolation prizes for the other winners.
