PANO – The 011 Dinh Tien Hoang frigate under Brigade 162, Naval Region 4 of the Vietnam People’s Navy, on February 3rd arrived in Visakhapatnam Port, India to join the International Fleet Review 2016.
The Vietnamese ship was welcomed by the host’s 21-gun salute, and officers of the Eastern Naval Command of the Indian Navy boarded the ship to instruct it to anchor and join the formation.
After that, Vietnamese naval soldiers decorated the ship and practiced for a road demonstration under the framework of the review.

At present, about 50 battleships of the host and 24 different navies are anchoring at the port. According to the organization panel, 50 countries worldwide will send their ships to the event.
Between February 3rd and 9th, the mission of the Vietnam People’s Navy will lay wreaths at a war memorial, attend opening ceremonies for an international navigation exhibition and the International Fleet Review Village, join a road demonstration at Ramakrishna Beach and participate in the opening ceremony for the review at Satavahana Stadium.
In addition, they will join a concert performed by the Indian Naval Symphonic Band, the state dinner chaired by the Indian President, an international navigation workshop and a fireworks performance.
Previously, the warship visited Singapore and then crossed the Strait of Malacca and waters of other countries on its way to India.
