Vietnamese, Thai navies complete 46th joint patrol session
PANO - Ships 264 and 265 of Naval Region 5 of the Vietnam People’s Navy docked at the military port of Naval Region 5 on December 1, concluding the 46th joint patrol session between the Vietnam People's Navy and the Royal Thai Navy.
Earlier, from November 29 to 30, the two ships and their peers, Ships 442 and 543 of the Royal Thai Navy conducted the joint patrol in the waters adjacent to Vietnam and Thailand.

During the patrol, the two sides performed the saluting ceremony called Hello ASEAN (a saluting ceremony at sea among naval ships of ASEAN member states); exchanged information; practiced hand flag, lamp, and whistle signaling according to the International Code on Signals.

Participating ships of the two navies also exercised search and rescue scenarios and contents of the Code for Unplanned Encounters at Sea (CUES).

Thanks to thorough preparations and close coordination of the two sides, the 46th joint patrol session between the naval forces of the two countries concluded successfully, contributing to maintaining peace, security, stability in the waters adjacent to Vietnam and Thailand and fostering cooperation, exchange, mutual understanding, and trust between the two navies.
