Naval ships of the two countries in the joint patrol

Earlier, from April 19 to 20, the two ships and their peers, Ships 521 and 526 of the Royal Thai Navy conducted the joint patrol in the waters adjacent to Vietnam and Thailand.

During the patrol, the two sides performed saluting ceremony called Hello ASEAN, exchanged information, informed each other of the targets, prevented illegal fishing activities, practiced hand flag and lamp signaling, exercised search and rescue scenarios and contents of the Code for Unplanned Encounters at Sea (CUES).

The joint patrol aimed to maintain security and order at sea and create conditions for the two peoples to develop marine economy. It also contributed to strengthening the cooperation, mutual understanding and trust between the two navies.
