During the patrol, the two sides performed greeting procedures at sea among ASEAN countries (Hello ASEAN), practiced hand flag and light signals according to the International Code of Signals, carried out a search and rescue drill, to name but a few.
In the framework of the program, the two naval forces also actively boosted information dissemination to mobilize fishermen to observe all regulations on fishing at sea.
Thanks to the thorough preparation and close coordination, the joint patrol ended successfully, thereby contributing to maintaining security and order in the Vietnam - Thailand bordering waters, while promoting cooperation and mutual understanding and trust between the two navies.
