Vietnamese, Lao units hold talk on women’s work
PANO - The Military Women Advisory Board held a talk on women’s work with female officers of the Laos People’s Army (LPA) on November 5.
Senior Colonel Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Head of the Military Women Advisory Board under the General Department of Political Affairs and Major General Phayvon Inthabout, Head of the Women Division of the Lao People’s Army, co-hosted the event.
The talk saw the attendance of 19 female officers of the Lao People’s Army and officers and staff of Vietnam’s Military Women Advisory Board.

At the event, both sides exchanged experience in the organization and implementation of the women’s work and movements in the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA); effective conducting of the "Military servicewomen with intelligence and bravery, completing assigned tasks, building happy families, deserving to be Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new situation" emulation movement; building women of the new situation with "intelligence, courage, discipline, humanity"; especially in carrying out two breakthroughs of military women in the 5 years (2021-2026), namely applying information technology to the activities of the board and further enhancing the quantity and quality of female officers.
The two sides also exchanged creative models in women's work and movements and hoped that in the time to come, servicewomen of the VPA and LPA would promote exchange and coordination activities in dissemination and education on the solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation in regular activities, as well as on major holidays and important events of the two countries and the two militaries. The Vietnam’s Military Women Advisory Board is ready to receive and organize refresher courses for the LPA’s servicewomen on women's work and movements in the next years.

The talk contributed to affirming good traditional values and the close-knit ties between servicewomen of the VPA and LPA and heightening their responsibility in further deepening the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and militaries.
