Vietnamese, Lao border guards conduct joint patrol
PANO – The Tam Hop Border Guard Station, under Nghe An Provincial Border Guard Command, in association with Border Guard Company 217 of Laos’ Bolykhamxay provincial Military Command, conducted a joint border patrol on April 27.
Accordingly, the participating forces patrolled between the two border markers of 425 and 426, as well as five border landmarks of 425.1; 425.2; 425.3; 426.1; 426.2 with a total length of 14,828 km along the Vietnam - Laos borderline.
During the patrol, the two sides strictly followed the principles of join patrols, including informing each other about the border landmarks, promptly detecting and dealing with issues related to border regulations between the two countries, as well as protecting original marks of the border markers.
At the end of the patrol, the two sides drew experience and exchanged relevant situations to prepare for the upcoming patrols. These activities demonstrated the solidarity and close relations between the two border guard forces, thereby contributing to protecting and building a shared borderline of peace, friendship, cooperation and mutual development.
