In this exercise, under the command of the KRI Bung Tom-357, the two vessels advanced in vertical formation, azimuth formation, row formation to the right, and horizontal formation. The average speed of the ships in formation was 10 nautical miles per hour.

During the exercise, the flagship was required to keep direction and speed stable while the other vessel must move quickly and accurately, and advance to the correct position in the formation in the requested period of time.

According to Captain Hoang Anh, Second-in-Command of Brigade 162, commanding officer of Vietnamese frigate, the two vessels kept contact and well performed all contents of the formation exercise.

The same day, the two vessels practiced other contents, such as flag signal, supply at sea, lamp signal, maneuver at night, and aerial photography.
