Speaking at the ceremony, head of the Vietnamese delegation, Deputy Commander of the Coast Guard Region 1 Command Senior Colonel Le Thanh Hai thanked the Korean people in general and the Korea Coast Guard in particular for the thoughtful, courteous, and hospitable reception for Vietnamese officers and crew-members on Ship CSB 8004.
During their time in Yeosu, the Vietnamese coast guard officers paid a courtesy visit on the leadership of the Korea Coast Guard Academy; visited and had exchange with their peers from the academy; conducted a joint search and rescue drill with the Korea Coast Guard; had sports exchanges and toured cultural sites in the country.

Col. Hai evaluated that the visit, exchange, and experience-sharing with the Korea Coast Guard Academy held significant importance. It was part of the activities to actualize the memorandum of understanding in cooperation signed between the two forces in 2007.
Through this visit, the Vietnamese and Korean coast guard officers had the opportunity to exchange, learn, and share their experience in maritime law enforcement, contributing to strengthening the friendship, cooperation, mutual understanding, and trust between the two forces in the future.
