The visit aimed to help Lao officers learn about the long-standing solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos during the struggles for national liberation and reunification, national construction and defense cause.

It was also to strengthen the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations in general, and the two militaries in particular. Furthermore, the trip offered an opportunity for Lao and Vietnamese officers to exchange experience and learn from each other in organizing political education activities for military officers.

During the event, the Lao officers were briefed on the regiment’s tradition and outcomes in implementing political education over the past time. They also learnt about the unit’s effective political education models and initiatives.

The Lao trainees also toured space showcasing equipment, tools, and materials for political education; visited the President Ho Chi Minh Room, where activities such as newspaper reading, screening of historical films, and social media-based group discussions take place. Moreover, they observed a lesson conducted by the regiment’s political instructors at the battalion level.

Through these activities, the trip helped strengthen the special solidarity and friendship between Regiment 165 and the Lao delegation, as well as between the two militaries as a whole. It also contributed to preserving and developing the long-term, sustainable comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States, and two militaries.
