Vietnamese, Cambodian military units enhance coordination

At the reception

At the reception, Senior Colonel Tran Dong Thanh, Deputy Political Commissar of the Binh Thuan provincial Military Command, warmly welcomed the Cambodian delegation. He also briefed the guests on the provincial armed forces’ military and defense and socio-economic development task achievements in 2024.

In 2024, the command built a clean and strong Party organization and a unit with good training, discipline and high combat readiness. In the time to come, the command hoped to enhance the twinning relationship with the Cambodian side to accomplish assigned missions, contributing to cultivating the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia.

The two sides present gifts to each other.

For his part, Major General Sophea Um, Commanding Officer of the Military Sub-region of Kampong Chhnang province, extended New Year greetings to the Vietnamese side and thanked the armed forces of Binh Thuan province for their support over the past time. He also affirmed that the sub-region would continue to strengthen solidarity and cooperation with the Binh Thuan provincial Military Command.

During the reception, the two sides discussed and agreed that last year they regularly exchanged information and supported each other in building a comprehensively-strong unit; regularly organized cultural, artistic and sports exchange programs; and gave mutual support to each other to build regular, green, clean and beautiful barracks.
