One notable achievement of this cooperation has been the timely exchange of information, leading to various successful initiatives. These include enhanced communication efforts, joint patrols, and border control in the maritime border area. There have also been no cases of illegal border crossings, and two missing Chinese citizens were successfully rescued and brought to safety. Furthermore, numerous smuggling and illegal transportation cases have been thwarted.

Looking ahead, both parties agreed to intensify information exchange across all areas as per the signed agreements between the Vietnam Coast Guard Command and the Cambodian National Committee for Maritime Security. They also expressed the desire to extend cooperation beyond information sharing, aiming for joint law enforcement and search and rescue efforts at sea. This expanded collaboration will contribute to maintaining security, safety, peace, and friendship within the historical waters shared by Vietnam and Cambodia.
