Vietnamese and Lao units conduct bilateral patrol

During the patrol from July 1 to 3, the patrol teams of the two sides together checked the border section and border markers and exchanged information related to the situation and security in border areas 

The patrol was one of the important events of Ban Giang Border Post and Border Guard Company 311 to detect violations of regulations on the management and protection of border areas, territorial sovereignty, and border security.

Despite challenging weather conditions and difficult terrains, the patrol forces with high determination cleared bushes along the patrol path and cleaned border markers 510 to 512 and border marker stake 511/1 on the border section between Ha Tinh and Khammouan provinces.

The patrol teams evaluated that the border marker system remained intact, and no violations of regulations and agreements on border in the area were detected.

After the patrol, the two sides signed the minutes of the patrol and border protection management results. They also agreed on the content and form of the next patrol which is slated for early September. During the patrol, the two sides will check the border section from markers 513 to 515.
