Vietnamese and Japanese military medical forces promote cooperation
PANO – The Vietnamese and Japanese military medical forces held an online meeting on November 30 to share experiences in combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event saw the presence of representatives from the Department of Military Medicine under the General Department of Logistics, Central Military Hospital 108, the Military Medical University, the Japanese Defense Attaché and Vice Defense Attaché to Vietnam.
Speaking at the event, Head of the Department of Military Medicine Major General Nguyen Xuan Kien highly appreciated Japan’s and its self defense force’s achievements in COVID-19 prevention and control. He emphasized that the online meeting was an opportunity for Vietnamese and Japanese military medical forces to discuss cooperation orientations in the coming time and accelerate the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in military medicine between the two defense ministries.
Also at the event, the two sides briefed each other on the COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control situation in military units and shared their experience in the work.
They agreed that in the coming time the two countries will continue exchanging visits and organizing concentrated and online meetings to strengthen bilateral ties and defense cooperation.
