During the patrol, the units followed the Joint Patrol Regulation that had been agreed upon by both sides. A Joint Command was established. Each side formed three patrol teams with a total of 24 members, conducting the patrol from border markers 29 to 71 on the Vietnamese side.

During the seven hour-long patrol, the two sides used nine vehicles and greeted each other 12 times on the border. The total patrol distance was about 150km. Throughout the patrol, the two sides cooperated in law education and dissemination for 300 residents living along the shared borderline. They also distributed 210 leaflets with legal knowledge and disease prevention methods.

At the end of the patrol, both sides agreed that patrol was successful, its intended results were achieved. They also agreed on further cooperation in the future, including continuing to implement the inked documents. The two sides also agreed to regularly exchange information about situations through official letters and hotlines and collaborate in resolving emerging issues related to border management and crime prevention.

They agreed to continue enhancing border patrols to detect and prevent criminal activities, particularly illegal immigration, human trafficking, smuggling, and other criminal offenses in a timely manner. Both sides were committed to maintaining safety and stability along the shared borderline, especially before, during, and after the lunar New Year 2025. They also agreed to strengthen legal education to raise local residents’ awareness of border regulations and encourage them to strictly observe border management laws.
