At the ceremony, Colonel Mac Duc Trong, Head of the Field Office of the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations, congratulated 10 female peacekeeper doctors of the hospital on their special day.

He then handed over gifts by the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations to the Vietnamese female peacekeepers.

Captain Thu Ngan shared that it was the first time her comrades and she herself welcomed a Vietnamese Women's Day aboard, especially in a special country like South Sudan.

Second Lieutenant Sa Minh Ngoc said in a moving voice that these gifts and sentiments from their comrades encouraged them much on this day when they are living and serving missions far from their families.

Meanwhile, Major Bui Thi Xoa thanked the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations for its care for the female officers and pledged, on behalf of them, to successfully complete all assigned tasks in South Sudan.
