Present at the event were Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, leaders of the Vietnam Department for Peacekeeping Operations, representatives of agencies under the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 7 Command, Army Corps 4 Command, the Military Hospital 175, as well as relatives of the staff of the L2FH Rotation 1.

With the last 32 personnel, all troops of the L2FH Rotation 1 safely returned home after completing their peacekeeping missions in South Sudan.

With great efforts and high responsibility, all personnel of the L2FH Rotation 1 overcame difficulties and successfully completed their assigned tasks. They also promoted the beautiful image of the Vietnamese medical peacekeepers to international friends and the United Nations.

In appreciation of their work, the United Nations presented the noble UN Medal to the Vietnamese medical peacekeepers for their outstanding achievements.

General Cuong presented flowers to and wished good health to each of the 32 members of the L2FH Rotation 1. He lauded their success at the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in South Sudan, saying that they have contributed to promoting Vietnam’s diplomatic relations and defense cooperation with other countries and confirmed Vietnam’s prestige and high sense of responsibility in participating in UN peacekeeping operations.

After the welcoming ceremony, the L2FH Rotation 1's personnel were accommodated at Military Hospital 175.

The ceremony to review the L2FH Rotation 1's activities will be held on December 5 in HCM City.
