Speaking at the event, Gen. Vinh affirmed that the Vietnam - Laos great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation hold important significance between the two peoples. Leaders of the two countries also attach much importance to preserving, upholding and cultivating the Vietnam - Laos relations.

The bilateral defense cooperation over the past time has also brought practical and effective outcomes, Gen. Vinh went on.

For his part, Lieutenant General Pasith Thiengtham informed Gen. Vinh about the results of the previous talks with the Vietnamese Department of Technical Services under the MND. Accordingly, both sides reviewed cooperation contents over the past time and discussed orientation for the time to come, focusing on education and training, experience sharing, among others.
