At the reception, Gen. Vinh highly valued the fine relationship between the two countries in various fields, including defense ties. He attached special importance to the bilateral defense cooperation to deepen the Vietnam-Japan strategic partnership, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region.
The Vietnamese general hoped that Japan further cooperates with Vietnam in a number of areas such as officers exchange, treatment of dioxin-affected areas, cooperation in mine action, and education and technical cooperation in the fields of Japan’s strength.
The Japanese ambassador expressed his hope to boost multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam, including defense cooperation. He committed to continue cooperating with Vietnam in UN peacekeeping operations, maritime law enforcement, increasing young officers exchange, and more.
