Vietnam, Japan naval troops hold scientific conference
PANO – The Vietnam People’s Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force on March 13 concluded a scientific conference on underwater medicine.
The event was participated by more than 60 naval medical officials from the Vietnam People’s Navy, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, and the US Navy.

The conference was part of the activities to realize the expertise exchange program and enhance friendship, solidarity and mutual understanding between the Vietnam People’s Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, thereby helping the Vietnam People’s Navy improve its medical staff’s professional expertise in serving naval troops.
The three-day conference heard 15 scientific reports on various underwater medicine topics, such as medical assurance for diving activities, first aid and treatment of complications occurring during diving, and new research techniques related to diving.
