Vietnam expects to boost defense cooperation with Pakistan
PANO - Senior Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, on December 6 received Colonel Saqib Qamar, Pakistan’s incoming Defense Attaché to Vietnam.

At the reception, General Tuan congratulated the Pakistani attaché on his appointment and hoped that he would make active contributions to lifting defense cooperation between the two countries to a new height.
The host expected that in the coming time the two countries would develop an annual defense policy dialogue mechanism and reach a Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral defense cooperation in a bid to tap their great potentials for defense cooperation for the mutual benefits of the two militaries.
In addition, Vietnam wants to learn Pakistan’s experiences in and cooperate with the country in search and rescue, military medicine, mine action, and UN peacekeeping operations.
