Vietnam, China enhance collaboration in border management and protection
PANO - A delegation from Puer Border Management Team, Mengkang Immigration Inspection Station of China and a delegation from Vietnam’s Dien Bien provincial Border Guard Command held the 12th annual bilateral meeting on October 29 in China’s Yunnan province.
During the meeting, in the spirit of solidarity and friendship, both sides affirmed that, over the past time, they have consistently maintained close coordination in border management and protection, crime prevention, and the maintenance of social order in border areas. These efforts have contributed to building a borderline of peace, friendship, cooperation, and mutual development.
The two sides also discussed and agreed upon future cooperation directions. In particular, they will work together to conduct law dissemination and education for residents living along the shared borderline, helping them stabilize their lives and foster economic development. The efforts will contribute to mobilizing people in border areas to abide by the three legal documents on the Vietnam - China land border and each country's border regulations.
They also agreed to strengthen information sharing and expand communications channels, especially exchanging information related to suspects and cases of cross-border criminal activities. Additionally, both parties emphasized enhancing cultural and sports exchanges and expanding twinning activities to further strengthen the friendship between the border protection forces of the two countries.
