Delegates view images of the construction of the friendship complex.

It was part of activities within the framework of the first Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia Border Defense Friendship Exchange 2023. Major General Hua Van Tuong, Deputy Commander of Military Region 5 (MR5) led a delegation to attend the event.

Reportedly, the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam has provided VND 15 billion for the Royal Cambodian Army to implement the project.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Hua Van Tuong expressed his delight at the strong development of Vietnam - Cambodia traditional friendship. The organization of the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia border defense friendship exchange and the inauguration ceremony of the friendship complex have shown that defense cooperation remains an important pillar and a bright spot in Vietnam - Cambodia bilateral relations, contributing to further tightening the relationship between the two countries and two militaries.

For his part, General Tea Seiha thanked the Vietnamese Defense Ministry and the MR5 Command for their support. The support has helped Cambodia build a stronger military and boosted the country’s development. He also hoped that in the coming time, the militaries of the two countries would stand side by side to promote cooperation and mutual support.
