Training course opened for Lao trade union cadres
PANO - The Defense Trade Union Board of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army opened a training course on July 10 in Hanoi for 20 trade union cadres from the Lao People’s Armed Forces.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Senior Colonel Nguyen Xuan Hai, Head of the board, emphasized the enhancement and expansion of cooperative ties between the two militaries and peoples in different fields, especially military-defense.
The two militaries’ regular exchanges and experience sharing on trade union work and related activities have also seen much development.
The Vietnamese officer said that the training course opens up a chance for the two sides to exchange experiences in organizing trade union activities, to improve abilities of trade union cadres, contributing to the development of each army and to the fulfillment of national construction and protection of each country.
For nearly one month, the Lao trainees will be provided with knowledge on eight subjects, and have fact-finding trips to several grassroots-level trade unions of the Vietnam People’s Army.
Also at the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Duong may, Deputy Head of the Lao Defense Attaché Office in Vietnam, believed that the Lao trainees will accomplish the set targets of the course, making contributions to promoting the special solidarity and comprehensive partnership between the two Parties, States and Armies.
