The Coast Guard Region 2 Command presents gifts to troops on board and the delegation.

Both sides will patrol 13 points with a distance of 255.5 nautical miles, from 14 nautical miles Southeast of Tran island to 48 nautical miles Northeast of Con Co Island. The Vietnam Coast Guard operates on ships 8004 and 8002 (8004 is the flagship) to conduct the patrol and control in the Western area of the Gulf of Tonkin demarcation line. Meanwhile, the Chinese Coast Guard uses two ships to do the task in the Eastern area of the Gulf of Tonkin demarcation line.

The patrol aims to realize international laws, disseminate information to fishermen operating at sea, and ensure security and order in the Gulf of Tonkin.
