The event was chaired by the university’s Deputy Political Commissar Major General Nguyen Van Nam and attended by Cambodian Military Attaché to Vietnam Colonel Rem Kan, representatives from agencies and units, and more than 200 Cambodian cadets studying at the university.

At the meeting, General Nam presented flowers and sent best wishes to all Cambodian officers and cadets who are studying at the Military Medical University. He recalled that the university is tasked to provide training for international cadets, including those from the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces. Since 1964, the unit has trained more than 360 medical and pharmaceutical workers for Cambodia.

Expressing the delight at the achievements obtained by the people and the Royal Armed Forces of Cambodia in national construction and defense cause, the university’s deputy political commissar wished that the relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia will be forever green and sustainable. He congratulated Cambodian learners on their studying records and believed that they would continue to promote the obtained results to successfully fulfil assigned missions.

He asked the Cambodian cadets to continue to grasp and effectively fulfill set targets and promote self-studying to enhance professional competence and work ethics to become good doctors of Cambodian troops and people.

Apart from studying, they should focus on training to enhance their stance, strictly observe Vietnam’s law and regulations and building unity, contributing to enriching the solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between Vietnamese and Cambodian militaries and people.
