RoK delegation visits Naval Region 3

At the reception

At a reception hosted for the visiting delegation, Naval Region 3’s Deputy Commander Senior Captain Vo Van Tuyen highlighted the intensive and practical development of the defense cooperation between Vietnam and RoK.

Tuyen hoped that in his new position Brigadier General Lee Kyung Koov will further contribute to lifting Vietnam-RoK defense cooperation and the two navies in particular to a higher level. He said that in the future the two navies will continue promoting cooperation in delegation exchange, training, technology, search and rescue at sea and other sectors of mutual concern in the spirit of the talks between Vice Admiral Pham Hoai Nam, Commander of the Vietnam People’s Navy, and Admiral Um Huyn-Seong, Commander of the RoK Navy on July 5, 2019.

For his part, Brigadier General Lee Kyung Koov thanked the Vietnamese side for the warm reception and vowed that he will make recommendations for the RoK Ministry of Defense to promote bilateral defense relations and cooperation between the two navies for the sake of peace and stability in the region.

On the occasion, Brigadier General Lee Kyung Koov visited Brigade 172 of Naval Region 3 Command.
