During the month-long course, Lao participants will be introduced about basic contents on the organization and operation of a military court, a general view of the Vietnam people’s court system.

In addition, they will be equipped with necessary court-related skills, and other knowledge.

Apart from study, Lao cadres will participate in various outdoor activities, such as paying tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum, joining field trips to several military courts to learn experience from Vietnamese peers, and visiting historical relics and landscapes across Vietnam.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Senior Colonel Hoang Huu Quy, Deputy Chief Judge of the Central Military Court, confirmed that over the past years, the comprehensive cooperation in all spheres, including judicial area, between the two States and militaries has constantly been consolidated and developed.

Colonel Quy highlighted the traditional relations between the judicial agencies of the two militaries, saying that it has reaped good outcomes.

The Vietnamese official hoped that during the course, Lao trainees will acquire more practical knowledge for their future duties under the lecture of experienced cadres of the Central Military Court.

He also hoped that the course will help enhance the cooperation between the Central Military Court under the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army and the High Military Court of the Laos People’s Army in an intensive and practical manner.
